1,500+ Admitted to International Master's Courses

A record number of more than 10,600 applicants applied to the international master's programmes commencing in autumn 2024. 

A total of 10 626 applicants applied to the 35 international master's programmes of the University of Helsinki in the application round that ended in January 2024. 1 527 new students were admitted to the programmes, which means that 14% of the applicants were offered a student place.  All applicants have been notified of the results by email.    

Students admitted to the international master's programmes come from 85 countries. Almost 80% of those admitted are from outside Finland and over 66% from non-EU and non-EEA countries. In addition to Finland, the highest numbers of admitted students come from China, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Admitted applicants must accept the offered student place no later than 11 July 2024 at 15:00.
