Release of June Quarter 2007 National Accounts
Following a request from the Treasurer, the acting Australian Statistician has decided to release the June Quarter 2007 National Accounts one day earlier, at 11.30 am on Tuesday 4 September 2007.
There is an established expectation that the Treasurer will be available to comment on key macro-economic statistics such as the National Accounts soon after release.
This would not have been possible because the Treasurer will be involved in APEC discussions at the originally scheduled release time.
