Albury drug raid, man arrested, NSW

A man has been charged after police seized crystal meth, cannabis, firearms parts and cash from a home in Lavington yesterday, NSW Police say.

Officers attached to Albury Local Area Command established Strike Force Mooli in October last year to investigate the on-going supply of methylamphetamine in the region.

Following inquiries, police executed a search warrant at a home in Parkland Crescent, Lavington, shortly after 2pm today, where they seized drugs and more than $7000 cash.

They arrested a 30-year-old man in the front yard and took him to Albury Police Station.

The man has now been charged with 11 offences:

• Supply a prohibited drug (indictable quantity (not cannabis) – seven counts

• Supply prohibited drugs on a on-going basis – one count

• Supply prohibited drug – commercial quantity – two counts

• Deal with the property proceeds of crime – one count.

He was refused bail and is due to appear in Albury Local Court tomorrow.
