Alice Springs Aggravated Robbery: Police Appeal for Info 19 April

Northern Territory Police are calling for information after an alleged aggravated robbery occurred in Araluen overnight.

Around 11pm, police received a report of a 35-year-old male who had been assaulted with an edged weapon and subsequently robbed.

The male had been inside his residence on Taylor Street, when two alleged offenders arrived on the scene driving a white utility Holden Commodore. The victim spoke with the males outside of the residence before they proceeded to assault him, stealing the victim's bag containing personal belongings.

The two alleged offenders are believed to be known to the victim and fled the scene prior to police arrival.

The victim suffered injuries to his head, face, arms and lower body, and was conveyed to Alice Springs Hospital to receive medical treatment.

A crime scene has been established and further investigations are being conducted by detectives from the Alice Springs Criminal Investigations Branch.

Once of the offenders, a 36-year-old male, has since been arrested this morning for his involvement with this incident.
