A NSW woman and her husband are about to embark on an all-Australian adventure, thanks to their windfall from the weekend's lotto draw.
The Lake Macquarie resident held one of the seven division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4465 on Saturday 4 May 2024. Each division one winning entry scored $703,314.88.
“My little heart is beating fast!” the Bonnells Bay woman exclaimed when her prize was confirmed by a lotto official.
“We haven’t had much sleep. It’s so exciting!
“I checked the ticket last night after the draw and I had to go and wake my husband. He didn’t believe me at first, but he does now!
“This will change our lives, it really will. It’s just amazing.
“I just play randomly. I won $36 on Thursday night so I thought I would roll it over and get a ticket into Saturday Lotto.
“I’ve joked to my husband for years that all my plans hinge on winning Lotto! And now we’ve won it!
“We want to start travelling around Australia – the plan is to do a lap of the country. This will be a great nest egg for that. We’ll also be able to share some with our kids.”
The woman’s ticket was a 36-game QuickPick entry.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4465 on 4 May 2024 were 14, 42, 26, 12, 29 and 5, while the supplementary numbers were 9 and 41.
Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4465 – four in Victoria, two in Queensland and one in New South Wales.
