At 6am this morning, Thursday 25 August 2016, a man armed with a knife entered the Mowbray Newsagency demanding money, Tasmania Police say.
The man, described as being about 170cm tall and medium build, wearing dark coloured clothing with a dark coloured backpack fled on foot in the direction of Vermont Road.
Any member of the public who may have information in relation to this incident is asked to please contact Tasmania Police or Crime Stoppers.
