Attempted murder charge at Inala, QLD

Detectives investigating an alleged burglary and assault incident at Inala this morning have charged a man with attempted murder, Queensland Police say.

It is alleged at about 3.30am, two men and a woman who had been invited to a Parakeet Street address assaulted a 31-year-old male occupant of the address and demanded cash.

It is further alleged the two men entered the main part of the residence and seriously assaulted an elderly male occupant and demanded cash.

The two men and the woman later left the address with a quantity of property.

Both occupants of the residence received treatment for their injuries.

Detectives located one of the men at a Forest Lake address around 2pm. The remaining man and woman were located around 5pm today.

A 26-year-old Forest Lake man has been charged with one count each of attempted murder and deprivation of liberty.

A 27-year-old Goodna man has been charged with one count of burglary and commit indictable offence.

A 19-year-old Doolandella woman has been charged with one count of burglary and commit indictable offence.

All three will appear in the Richlands Magistrates Court on Monday, February 27.

Investigations are continuing.
