Automation Support will Expand Opportunities for Mrs. Dunster's Inc

Ensuring that Atlantic Canadian companies in the food industry are well equipped to take advantage of opportunities helps to secure jobs for the middle class and those looking to join it. With the introduction of new equipment and the addition of key positions, Mrs. Dunster's (1996) Inc. can better meet growing client demand and accelerate the company's growth.

Mrs. Dunster's (1996) Inc. is purchasing equipment to automate its donut production line and optimize its garlic cheese bun production. This will enable the company to continue to grow and enhance its competitiveness. Mrs. Dunster's (1996) Inc. will create nearly 24 new positions, including two new management positions, thanks to Government of Canada support. The Government of Canada is providing a total contribution of more than $284,000 for these projects.

The Province of New Brunswick, through Opportunities New Brunswick is providing $33,800 to help support the purchase of equipment for the garlic cheese bun production project.

Economic growth and the creation of good jobs for Atlantic Canadians require innovation and diversification. Support for these projects is one way the Government of Canada is working to help businesses scale-up, increase productivity and participate in the innovation economy.
