Canada, New Brunswick Invest in Wastewater Infrastructure in Arcadia

Infrastructure Canada

Today, the Honourable Dominic LeBlanc, Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, Infrastructure and Communities, the Honourable Réjean Savoie, Minister responsible for the Regional Development Corporation, and His Worship Derek Pleadwell, Mayor of Arcadia, announced a joint investment of more than $393,000 to revitalize Arcadia's sewage treatment lagoon.

This investment will optimize the lagoon operations to improve the reliability of the treatment systems and protect the health of the environment and residents. The work will include the construction of a pad to install bag filtration systems that will dehydrate the biosolids and be removed by a licensed disposal facility.

By investing in infrastructure, the Government of Canada is growing our country's economy, building resilient communities, and improving the lives of Canadians.
