Charges laid after man stabbed near Campbelltown, NSW

A man has been charged after an alleged stabbing near Campbelltown last night, NSW Police say.

About 11pm yesterday (Saturday 31 March 2018), emergency services were called to a home on Kingston Place, Airds, after reports a man had been stabbed during a fight.

A 50-year-old man suffered a stab wound to the shoulder and was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

Police arrested a 48-year-old man at the scene and he was taken to Campbelltown Police Station.

He has been charged with wounding with intent.

The man was refused bail and will appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Sunday 1 April 2018).

The men are believed to be known to each other.
