Child approached on bus in Bondi

Police are investigating after a child was approached in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, NSW Police say.

Just after 7.30am on Monday 18 September 2017, a 13-year-old boy was on a bus travelling along Bondi road, Road, when a man began to make inappropriate comments to the boy and other people on the bus.

Police have been told as the boy attempted to leave the bus; the male approached him, touching him, before he a number of people removed the male.

Officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Local Area Command were informed, and are now making inquiries into the incident, and would like to speak to a man who might be able to assist with the investigation.

He is described to police as being of Caucasian appearance, about 40-years-old, with tanned skin, brown skin and carrying sunglasses. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, and dark jeans with bright orange sneakers.

Anyone who was on the bus at the time and witnessed the approach, and have not yet spoken to police are urged to contact detectives from Waverly Police Station via Crime Stoppers.
