Police have located a four-year-old child in NSW after Queensland Police Service issued an amber alert Wednesday, NSW Police say.
Following inquiries, officers from Newcastle City Local Area Command located the child in Hunter Street, Newcastle.
He was taken to John Hunter Hospital for assessment.
The child has since been released into the care of his parents.
