Crooks snipped in Horsham

Horsham police have arrested two South Australian men following the alleged theft of stolen copper railway signal wire in the Dimboola area in January, Victoria Police say.

The pair was arrested while allegedly attempting to sell the stolen goods to a scrap metal dealer in Horsham on Tuesday.

A 34-year-old South Australian man was charged with several counts of theft, and handling stolen goods.

He fronted Horsham Magistrates’ Court on 8 February and received a 6-month imprisonment term.

A 27-year-old South Australian man was also charged with handling stolen goods and will appear at Horsham Magistrates’ Court on 12 April.
