Driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs whilst speeding - Wodonga impound

A man has had his car impounded after he was detected travelling 127 km/h in a 60 km/h zone. , Victoria Police say

Wodonga Highway Patrol intercepted a red Range Rover, travelling on Melbourne Road, Wodonga about 9.53pm.

The 40-year-old driver found himself in more trouble when he returned a positive preliminary breath test.

He was escorted to Wodonga Police Station where he returned an evidentiary breath test reading of 0.186%. He also produced a positive reading to illicit drugs.

The Wodonga man’s car was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $723.

He is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving, drug driving, and speeding offences. His licence was immediately suspended.
