Drugs seized following search warrant; man charged in Carlton

Police have a charged a man with drug supply following the execution of a search warrant in Sydney’s south, NSW Police say.

About 2pm today, officers attached to St George Local Area Command with assistance from Central Metropolitan Enforcement Squad (ODIN) attended a house on Mill Street, Carlton, where a search warrant was executed.

Police will allege during the search more than 1.5kg of cannabis, a quantity of MDMA and cash were located. All items were seized for forensic examination.

A 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Kogarah Police Station.

The man was charged with supply cannabis indictable quantity, supply prohibited drug indictable quantity, two counts of possess prohibited drug and deal with property suspected proceeds of crims.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday 28 February 2017.
