A man has been charged following investigations into a number of alleged assaults that occurred over a 10 month period in Southport, Queensland Police say.
Between December 2015 and September 2016, police will allege that a Southport man who was living with another man was assaulted regularly over the period of 10 months.
A 25-year-old Southport man has been charged with four counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, five counts of common assault, two counts of extortion and one count of torture.
He is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on January 19.
