Fashion Boost For Adelaide's Lakeside District

16th RSPCA SA Op Shop opens at Mawson Lakes tomorrow

High-end fashion donated to support the care of rescued animals is coming to Adelaide's Mawson Lakes - and with affordable price tags.

RSPCA South Australia's 16th Op Shop will open at 18/20 Main Street tomorrow at 10am, with 20% off storewide. To celebrate the boutique store's opening, there will also be –

  • FREE face painting
  • FREE coffee and hot chocolate
  • Live Music
  • SAFM's Black Thunder team from 11am to 1pm with giveaways and activities

According to Loredana Franze, who heads RSPCA SA's Retail and Commercial operations, early support from the local community has validated the decision to set up a store in the lakeside district.

"We really want to have a presence in Adelaide's north and Mawson Lakes, with its university, outdoor spaces that are so popular for dog walking and family-friendly vibe, is the perfect fit for one of our boutique stores," Loredana said.

"When we put the donation bin out for the first time this week, it was full within an hour - people here are just so keen to support our work and we've had many telling us how happy they are to see this store join the mix of retail outlets.

"For people on a budget, like many uni students are, this store will offer the chance to dress well and affordably in some of the latest trend clothing items donated to us each week.

"It's high fashion with compassion, with that warm feeling of knowing that funds are going towards RSPCA's care and rescue of vulnerable animals."

The new store will open from 10am to 2pm tomorrow.

Opening hours from Monday to Saturday will be 10am-5pm. Closed on Sunday.
