Police are in attendance at a fatal crash at on the North Coast, NSW Police say.
About 4.15pm today, police were called to the Pacific Highway, Moorland, north of Taree, after a southbound Toyota Echo and a northbound Toyota Tarago, which was towing a boat, collided.
Police from Manning/Great Lakes LAC attended and established a crime scene.
The driver of the Echo, a male, died at the scene.
The male driver and female front seat passenger, as well as their four child passengers, were taken to Port Macquarie Hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
A contra flow is currently in place at the scene.
Police are urging drivers in the area to take care, with heavy rain and a large amount of water on the road.
Officers have attended several reports throughout the day of vehicles leaving the road as a result of the conditions.
