First Ramón Y Cajal Research Conference Held at Barcelona Uni

The first edition of the Ramón y Cajal Research Conference at the University of Barcelona took place on Friday 26 April. The session brought together researchers who carry out research at the UB under the Ramón y Cajal grants. This is a pioneering initiative promoted by the researcher of the Department of Classical, Romance and Semitic Philology of the Faculty of Philology and Communication Dániel Kiss, whose aim is to provide an overview of the research of this group of researchers from various disciplines and faculties of the UB.The conference was opened by the rector of the UB, Joan Guàrdia. During the sessions, the work of six Ramón y Cajal researchers was presented, and the researcher Arnau Ríos Huguet gave a presentation on this group of researchers at the University of Barcelona.

Currently, the UB has around fifty Ramón y Cajal researchers, who have been selected after winning a call from the Spanish State Research Agency to promote the recruitment of excellent researchers.

The first Ramón y Cajal Research Conference for researchers at the University of Barcelona was supported by the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Philology and Communication.
