Police have arrested five people after an aggravated burglary in Horsham earlier this week.
It is alleged that the offenders gained entry to a property on Derry Parade and stole two cars between 9pm on Tuesday 20 February and 6am on Wednesday 21 February.
The offenders also stole multiple items belonging to the victim including a car key and wallet.
The vehicles were spotted by local police at a residential address in Beaufort on 21 February, around 10am.
Five people were arrested by officers at a property in Neill Street and the victim's Kia Sportage and Holden Commodore were recovered.
A 24-year-old North Melbourne man was charged with theft of motor vehicle.
He has been remanded to appear at the Ballarat Magistrates' Court on 7 March.
A 21-year-old Broadmeadows man was charged with theft of motor vehicle.
He has been bailed to appear at Horsham Magistrates' Court on 25 March.
A 17-year-old Alphington male was charged with theft of motor vehicle.
He has been bailed to appear at a children's court at a later date.
The other two people have been released pending further enquiries.
