Further two men charged following armed robberies, NSW

A further two people have been charged following a number of alleged armed robberies on Sydney’s Lower North Shore, NSW Police say.

Officers from Harbourside Local Area Command have been investigating three incidents this week in which people were robbed at knifepoint. Two of those targeted were injured.

About 12.35am today, police stopped a hatchback in Miller Street, North Sydney, and arrested four men who were taken to Chatswood Police Station and North Sydney Police Station.

Yesterday afternoon, a 27-year-old man was charged with two counts of robbery armed with offensive weapon causing wounding and one count each of robbery armed with offensive weapon and assault with intent to rob while in company causing wounding.

He was refused bail to face Manly Local Court tomorrow.

A 28-year-old man was charged with robbery in company causing wounding.

He appeared at Manly Local Court yesterday and was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court on Thursday 7 December 2017.

Two other men remain before the court.

Inquiries continue.
