Further two men charged with commercial drug supply in Tamworth

A further two men will face court charged with large commercial supply of prohibited drugs in the state’s north, NSW Police say.

Detectives attached to Oxley Local Area Command established Strike Force Delaney earlier this year to investigate the ongoing supply and distribution of prohibited drugs in the Tamworth area.

Following extensive inquiries, about 1pm on Monday (18 September 2017), a 28-year-old man attended Penrith Police Station where he was arrested.

He was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity), supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, supply indictable quantity of prohibited drug (x8), and numerous traffic offences.

The man appeared at Penrith Local Court on Tuesday (19 September 2017), and was bail refused to appear at the same court on Friday 17 November 2017.

About 11am on Friday yesterday, a 21 year old man attended Tamworth Police Station where he was arrested.

He was later charged with supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity), supply indictable quantity of prohibited drug (x 5) and deal with the proceeds of crime.

The man appeared at Tamworth Local Court yesterday and was granted conditional bail to appear at the same court on Wednesday 11 October 2017.

These arrests follow the arrest of a 32-year-old man at Caves Beach on Sunday 10 September 2017. He is next appearing at Tamworth Local Court on Wednesday 25 October 2017.
