A man caught riding his motorcycle at 180km/h in Lara yesterday will now find himself without it for Christmas, Victoria Police say.
Police from the State Highway Patrol (West) detected the man speeding on the Princes Highway between the Lara overpass and Geelong Ring Road about 3.10pm yesterday.
After being intercepted, the 48-year-old Lara man tested positive to alcohol during a preliminary breath test.
Police also discovered that as a condition of his licence he was only supposed to be driving vehicles fitted with an alcohol interlock.
His motorcycle was impounded and he will be charged on summons with a range of traffic offences.
