House fire - Surry Hills, NSW

Police are investigating after a suspicious house fire in Surry Hills this morning, NSW Police say.

About 4.20am today, emergency services were called to a home on Cleveland Street following reports of a fire.

Officers from Surry Hills Local Area Command attended and found the home well alight.

Fire & Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze.

Adjacent homes were also evacuated as a precaution; no injuries have been reported.

A crime scene was established at the scene and initial inquiries suggest the fire may be suspicious.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
