Investigation After Stabbing - Alexandria

An investigation is underway after a woman was stabbed in Sydney's south.

About 12.30pm on Wednesday (8 May 2024), emergency services were called to a fitness facility on O'riordan Street, Alexandria, following reports of an alleged stabbing.

On arrival, officers attached to South Sydney Police Area Command were told a man - believed to be in his 40s – had allegedly stabbed a 39-year-old woman.

It is believed that they are known to each other.

She was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident has commenced.
