Man and three teens charged after search warrants in Liverpool

Police have charged one man and three teenage boys following simultaneous search warrants in Greater Western Sydney, NSW Police say.

Police will allege an 18-year-old man and three teenagers, aged 16 and two aged 17, were involved in the assault of 17-year-old boy at a shopping centre on Macquarie Street, Liverpool, about 8pm on Thursday 2 March 2017.

Officers attached to Liverpool Local Area Command with the assistance of Green Valley Local Area Command commenced an investigation.

As part the investigations, police will allege the two 17-year-old boys were involved in another assault and robbery while attending a party on Supply Avenue, Lurnea, about 10pm on Saturday 18 March 2017.

Following inquiries, four search warrants were executed at properties in Liverpool, Green Valley, and Chester Hill about 8am today.

A number of items were located and seized, which are believed to be linked to the two assaults and robbery, and will undergo forensic examination.

At a unit on Boundary Road, Chester Hill, a 16-year-old boy was arrested and taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with common assault, intimidation and breach of bail.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested at a house in Oliveri Crescent, Green Valley. He was taken to Green Valley Police Station and charged with common assault, intimidation and breach of bail.

During the search of a unit on Castlereagh Street and Bathurst Street, Liverpool, a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were arrested and taken to Liverpool Police Station.

The 17-year-old boy was charged with common assault, two counts of dishonestly obtain property by deception, affray, aggravated assault with intent to rob, larceny, intimidation and breach of bail.

All three were refused bail and are due to appear at a Children’s Court tomorrow.

The 18-year-old man was charged with common assault and intimidation. He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday 12 April 2017.
