Man and woman charged after hydro setup located in Auburn

A man and woman have been charged after a hydroponic cannabis setup was located at a home in Auburn today.

About 7am today, police from the South West Metropolitan Region Enforcement Squad and Flemington Local Area Command executed a search warrant on a home in Adderley Street, Auburn., NSW Police say


During the search police allegedly located and seized cannabis plants, cannabis and cannabis cultivation equipment. All items will undergo forensic examination.

A two-year-old child was also present at the location.


A 53-year-old man and 53-year-old woman were arrested at the home and taken to Auburn Police Station.

They have both been charged with cultivate prohibited plants by enhanced means, take part in cultivating prohibited plants by enhanced means and take part in enhanced indoor cultivation of commercial quantity prohibited plant – expose child.

The man and woman have been refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court tomorrow.

The two-year-old was unharmed. She is currently safe and being cared for.
