Man arrested for murder at Andrews Farm, SA

A man has been arrested following the stabbing death of another man at Andrews Farm overnight, according to SA Police.

Just before midnight police patrols were called to a house in Mendota Avenue after reports a man had been stabbed in the chest.

On arrival, police patrols applied first aid until ambulance crews arrived. Desperate efforts to revive the man were unsuccessful and sadly the man from Adelaide's northern suburbs died at the scene.

A short time later police arrested a man in connection with the incident a short distance away.

The 34-year-old man from Modbury has been charged with murder and will remain in custody until he appears in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Elizabeth CIB Detectives are investigating the incident which is not considered a random attack.
