Police located a man hiding under a bed and charged him over several break-ins across the North West Metropolitan Region, NSW Police say.
Between Friday 2 June and Monday 5 June 2017, several offences were detected in the Hills, Macquarie Fields and Ryde Local Area Commands where homes were broken into and property and a motor vehicle stolen.
Investigators conducted an extensive investigation and about 3pm on Thursday 15 June determined that a man who could assist their investigation was at a home in Oakhurst.
Officers from Operation Countdown, the NWMR Operational Support Group and the dog unit attended the premises and police commenced a search of the home.
During a search of a bedroom a 31-year-old man was located hiding under a bed and was arrested.
He was conveyed to Mt Druitt Police Station where he was later charged with aggravated break enter and steal; two further counts of break enter and steal; and take and drive conveyance.
Police also executed a warrant in relation to a an aggravated break enter and steal.
The man was refused bail to appear at Mt Druitt Local Court tomorrow.
