Man charged after clan lab found at Oaklands Park , SA

Detectives from Sturt CIB arrested a man yesterday (29 March) after a clandestine drug laboratory was found at an address at Oaklands Park, according to SA Police.

Just before 10.45am detectives, acting on information received through Crime Stoppers, searched an address on Jewell Street.

During the search police located about 200 grams of powder believed to be methamphetamines and evidence of a clandestine drug laboratory.

A 28-year-old man from Oaklands Park was arrested and charged with manufacturing a controlled drug, possess prescribed equipment and selling a controlled drug.

He was refused bail and was expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.

  • drawn curtains during daylight
  • persons carrying laboratory glassware into the premises
  • extensive and excessive security systems
  • frequent visitors to premises who only stay for short periods of time
  • chemical smells
  • chemical/fertiliser/empty pill/capsule containers in rubbish
  • pool cleaning equipment around the house when there is no swimming pool
  • excessive chemical containers for premises
