Man charged with committing acts of indecency in North Shore

Police have charged a man with allegedly committing a number of acts of indecency on the North Shore, NSW Police say.

Between June last year and last week, police received a number of reports of a man driving up to women and speaking with them before committing indecent acts at Chatswood, Artarmon, St Leonards and Ryde.

Inquiries by police revealed the car described was using number plates which had been reported stolen from a vehicle at Hebersham, in western Sydney, in May last year.

Earlier today, officers from North Shore Local Area Command attended a home at Cremorne where they arrested a 63-year-old man.

He was taken to North Sydney Police Station and charged with 10 counts of commit act of indecency, as well as offences relating to the theft and use of numberplates.

He was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court tomorrow.
