Man charged with drink-driving after crashing into house in Toongabbie

A man has been charged with high-range drink-driving after allegedly crashing his car into a property at Toongabbie, NSW Police say.

Just after 1am tomorrow, police and emergency services were called to Octavia Street, following reports a car had crashed into a fence in the front of a house.

A 25-year-old driver was arrested at the scene.

He was breath-tested with a positive result before being taken to Merrylands police station, where he was submitted to a breath analysis and allegedly produced a reading of 0.170.

The man was issued with a field court attendance notice for high-range drink-driving and had his licence suspended.

He is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday 19 July 2017.

The house did not suffer any structural damage.
