Man charged with high range drink driving in Hawkesbury

Police have charged a man with dink driving after he was involved in a collision in the Hawkesbury Local Area Command yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 6.30pm yesterday (11 December 2016) a two car collision occurred on Bellbird Crescent at Bowen Mountain.

Although no one was injured in the crash substantial damage was occasioned to both vehicles.

Officers from Hawkesbury Local Area Command attended and subjected both drivers to a road side breath test which a 54-year-old man failed.

He was arrested and conveyed to Windsor Police Station where he underwent a breath analysis.

After a reading of 0.153 was returned the man was charged with driving with High Range PCA and had his licence suspended.

He was granted bail to appear at Windsor Local Court on 19 January 2017.
