A man has been charged following the death of a woman at Parramatta overnight, NSW Police say.
An investigation was initiated after a 29-year-old woman suffering stab wounds was found in a home in Campbell Street, Parramatta about 9.50pm today.
Paramedics took the woman to Westmead Hospital where she died.
Police from Parramatta Local Area Command arrested a 33-year-old-man at the home and took him to Parramatta Police Station where has been charged with one count of murder.
Strike Force Alleynside was formed to investigate the woman’s death; it comprises detectives from Parramatta LAC assisted by State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.
