Man Dead, Another Injured in Kingscliff: NSW Police Probe

An investigation is underway after man dies and another seriously injured in the state's north coast last night.

Emergency services were called to Oxford Street, Kingscliff, just after 8pm (Tuesday 9 April 2024), where they found two men seriously injured.

Officers from Tweed/Byron Police District attended and found a 29-year-old man with a stab wound. He was treated by Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.

A 66-year-old man was also found with significant arm injuries. The man – the occupant of the home – was airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.

A crime scene was established at the home and detectives have commenced an investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As inquiries continue, police are searching for a man who is believed to have been with the 29-year-old prior to the incident.
