Man dies after crash, NSW

A man has died following a single vehicle crash in Batemans Bay this morning, NSW Police say.

About 7.15am today, emergency services were called to the Princess Highway, following reports of a crash.

Police have been told a Mitsubishi Triton utility left the roadway, crashing into mangroves.

The driver and sole occupant, a 50-year-old man, was removed from the vehicle. Despite CPR attempts, the man died.

Officers from the Far South Coast Local Area Command will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, including whether the driver may have suffered a medical episode.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
