Police searching for a missing Sanctuary Point man are investigating the discovery of a man’s body in Sydney’s south-west, NSW Police say.
Following inquires, officers from Liverpool Local Area Command with the assistance of the Police Dog Unit conducted a search of bushland at Voyager Point earlier today.
While the man is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be the body of a 43-year-old man who was last seen at Padstow on Thursday 5 January 2017.
A post mortem examination will officially determine how the man died. Initial inquiries suggest there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.
Police will prepare a brief for the Coroner.
