A man is dead and a second man is critically injured after a shooting at Wetherill Park this evening, NSW Police say.
Just after 5pm today, emergency services were called to a park on Cowpasture Road, following reports of shots fired.
A man died at the scene.
A second man was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics for a chest wound. He was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Police have established a crime scene which will be examined by forensic and ballistic specialists.
Detectives from Fairfield Local Area Command and State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad are investigating the incident.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
