Mildura crop houses face the chop

Mildura Divisional Response Unit members, unlike our cricket team, are getting the runs on the board in the top end of the state after finding their fourth large cannabis manufacturing set-up, Victoria Police say.

A warrant was executed at a rural property on the Murray Valley Highway in Nyah yesterday afternoon with members finding approximately 300 plants growing in elaborate set-up in a large shed.

The plants were all at various growth stages with some ready for cultivation.

Two houses on the property were in the process of being set up to grow more plants with the power supply by-passed to allay the power supplier’s suspicion.

No arrests have been made but enquiries are underway in relation to ownership of the property.

This is the fourth large hydroponic set-up that the unit’s members have located with other crops being found at Sea Lake, Ouygen and Tempy.
