Minister Ng Heads Canadian Trade Mission to South Korea

Global Affairs Canada

As part of Canada's Indo-Pacific Strategy, the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development, will lead the Team Canada Trade Mission to South Korea, from April 21 to 25, 2024.

Minister Ng will be joined by a diverse group of more than 240 people from over 160 Canadian businesses and organizations. The trade mission will allow them to explore export opportunities in the Indo-Pacific region and make meaningful connections with potential business partners and clients. They will also learn how they can benefit from the Canada-Korea Free Trade Agreement (CKFTA), which makes 99% of Canada's exports to South Korea eligible for duty-free access. The trade mission will offer businesses already active in South Korea further expansion and growth opportunities.

As part of the trade mission, Minister Ng will visit South Korean businesses to champion Canada as a great place for businesses to invest and grow. She will also meet with her South Korean counterparts to advance more sustainable and inclusive trade that benefits everyone.
