Off-Leash Time Restrictions Removed: Bayside

Time restrictions on all Bayside off-leash areas are set to be removed following Council's meeting on Wednesday 9 February 2022.

Over the 2021-2022 Summer, Bayside Council trialled the removal of timed restrictions from popular off-leash areas at Kyeemagh and Pagewood.

"These have been well enjoyed by a significant part of the community and there is now significant demand to remove timed restrictions permanently," Mayor Dr Christina Curry said.

The following areas are now off-leash 24/7:

  • The off-leash beach area at Kyeemagh near gates 60 and 61
  • The off-leash area at Mutch Park, Pagewood

Council is now changing existing signs to indicate the areas that are now off-leash 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Please be considerate of other people around you. Dogs must be on-leash everywhere else in the LGA

Council is also investigating the possibility of potential new off-leash areas in Sans Souci and Hillsdale.

A report will be presented to Council at a future meeting.
