Pedestrian hit in Rhodes

A man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Sydney’s inner west overnight, NSW Police say.

Just before 10.40pm today, emergency services were called to Concord Road and Mary Street, Rhodes, following reports a pedestrian had been knocked over by a car.

Initial inquiries suggest a 23-year-old man stepped out in front of a Mazda 3 and was struck. He suffered a broken leg and minor lacerations.

The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers from Burwood Local Area attended and are investigating.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
