Police appeal to find woman missing from Sydney's east

Police are appealing for the public's help to find a woman missing from Sydney's east since earlier this week.

Carmel Wallington, aged 50, was last seen in person at a home in Matraville about 10pm on Monday (28 June 2021).

She was later seen on CCTV leaving a shopping centre on Bunnerong Road, Eastgardens, about 6.25pm the following day (Tuesday 29 June 2021).

Ms Wallington is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, of slim build, with hazel eyes and blonde shoulder-length hair.

She was last seen wearing a grey overcoat, dark grey shirt, black leggings, white runners and a black handbag.

She is known to frequent Matraville, Eastgardens, Hillsdale and the Eastern Beaches; and may be driving a Silver Mazda 3 hatchback with registration ZFK236.

As part of inquiries, officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are urging anyone with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Police and family hold concerns for her welfare.
