Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate an elderly man missing from the Blue Mountains region, NSW Police say.
Klaus Hoffman, aged 81, was last seen near Blue Mountains Hospital just after 12am tomorrow.
Mr Hoffman is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, of thin build and balding. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue and grey jacket.
Police hold grave concerns for his welfare due to cold weather overnight. Mr Hoffman also has an ongoing medical condition.
Officers attached to Blue Mountains Local Area Command are initiating a search.
Police are appealing to anyone with information on Mr Hoffman’s whereabouts to contact Katoomba Police Station on 02 4782 8199.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
