Police arrest driver after brief pursuit at Croydon Park, South Australia

Police have arrested a man after reports of suspicious behavior in a street at Croydon Park overnight.

Just after 2.30am on Tuesday 3 March, patrols responded to calls about a person in Stevens Street with a torch looking into cars.

As police arrived a Mitsubishi sedan was spotted turning out of the street with a single occupant. Patrols pursued the car for a short distance until it turned into a nearby dead-end street where the driver was arrested.

The 32-year-old driver from Largs Bay was charged with dangerous driving to escape police and will face the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
