Police arrest man after stabbing at Aldinga, South Australia

Police have arrested a man after a serious assault overnight at Aldinga.

Just after 12.30am on Sunday 6 September, patrols were called to a house on Flour Mill Road, after reports a man had stabbed another man in the chest with a screwdriver.

Police arrested the suspect on arrival, while the victim, a 54-year-old man from Aldinga, was taken to the the Flinders Medical Centre with non-life threatening injuries.

The 24-year-old from Sturt is currently at Noarlunga Hospital for a psychiatric assessment and is expected to be charged with serious offences later today.

Both men are known to each other.
