Police charge man with drug supply - Southern Highlands

Police have charged a man after drugs were seized following a vehicle stop in the Southern Highlands yesterday.

Officers attached to The Hume Traffic and Highway Patrol Command stopped a utility with ACT registration, along the Hume Highway, Berrima, about 3.30pm yesterday (Thursday 13 May 2021).

Police spoke to the driver – a 29-year-old man – and a subsequent search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered 889g of cocaine in the rear tray.

The driver was arrested and taken to Southern Highlands Police Station where he was charged with supply prohibited drug commercial quantity.

The ACT man was refused bail to appear in Goulburn Local Court today (Friday 14 May 2021).
