Police employee charged in Southern Region

A civilian employee of the NSW Police Force has been charged with drink driving, NSW Police say.

The 47-year-old man was stopped at a stationary random breath testing site on Wattle Road, Flinders, about 11.30am on Thursday 25 May 2017.

After a positive reading, the man was arrested and taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station, where a breath-analysis test returned an alleged reading of 0.110.

Police suspended the man’s driver’s licence, and issued him with a future court attendance notice for the offence of driving with a mid-range prescribed concentration of alcohol.

He is due to appear in Albion Park Local Court on Friday 7 July 2017.

The man works at a command in the Southern Region.
