Police investigate bottle shop theft at Beaconsfield

Pakenham police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of alcohol from a Beaconsfield bottle shop in January, Victoria Police say.

The incident happened at the Princes Highway business on Tuesday 10 January when two men entered the store just before 9pm.

When a staff member asked the men for identification to determine their age, both men refused and left the store.

A short time later one of the men walked back into the store, grabbed a slab of Jim Beam cans and ran back out onto the street.

Both men are perceived to be of African appearance and aged in their late teens.

One of the men was wearing a black cap, black jacket, dark blue shorts and black sneakers.

The second man was wearing a black cap, a black hooded jacket, tracksuits pants and black sneakers.

Investigators have released images of two men they would like to speak to over the incident.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
