Police investigate St Kilda shooting

Police are appealing for information following a shooting in St Kilda last night, Victoria Police say.

Emergency services were called to Spenser Street just after 10.30pm on 21 July after local residents found an injured man in the street.

It’s believed the man sustained a gun shot wound to his leg and may also have been further assaulted.

He was conveyed to hospital for treatment.

The victim is yet to be identified and is described as a Caucasian male in his early 20s.

No one has been arrested in relation to the incident at this time.

Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad are investigating and would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or any suspicious activity in the area around that time.

They are also keen to hear from anyone who can assist with identifying the victim.
